The race is over, the tire dust has settled, and it is time to leave the race track.  Now what?  Traffic is backed up for what seems to be forever, so why not have a party?

Planning a tailgate party isn’t as easy as it seems.  Here are a few Tailgate Party Planning Tips:

  • Bring a grill
    • Don’t forget charcoal and charcoal fluid
    • Don’t forget the lighter
    • Remember to bring a large jug of water to put out the hot coals when you get ready to leave.
  • Make sure you have a lot of ice!!!
    • You will need ice to keep your food cold while you are watching the race.
    • You will need ice to keep drinks cold.
    • You will need ice to put in drinks.
  • Keep cold foods cold!
    • This is very important.  You don’t want your guests to leave with food poisoning.
  • Bring extra ziploc bags, tin foil or containers to bring home the left overs
