Get Ready For The Super Bowl!

SuperBowl XLI is only 3 weeks away.  Are you ready for your SuperBowl party?  Although my Pittsburgh Steelers are not in the SuperBowl, it is a great reason to have a party!  One thing to remember is to keep it simple.  You want to have fun too!

Here are a few tips to a successful SuperBowl Party.

FOOD:
Finger foods work best for football parties.  Everyone will be eating in front of the TV.

Here is a list to get you started:
Chips and Dip
   Pretzels
   Nachos
   Hot Dogs
   Hamburgers
   Raw Veggie Platter
   Cheese Platter
**If you aren’t worried about a mess, Wings are always a great hit!

Get heavy weight paper plates, and make sure you have enough so people can get seconds.  (Remember you are serving munchie food, so people will most likely munch throughout the game.) DECORATING:
Hang footballs made of brown construction paper all over the house.
Have a football handy for a short half-time game, if time permits.

GAMES:

If your team is not in the game, as my Steelers are not, add some fun to the party by making a line with masking tape to separate the room in half.  Everyone that comes in picks a football with a team name on the back.  Then they go to there appropriate side of the line.  Ensure that the line does not cut either side from the restroom.  This gives a reason to cheer for a team and get some excitement to the party!

DRINK TIP:

Last but not least, make sure you have non-alcoholic drinks for the designated drivers.  Make sure everyone has a ride if they are enjoying alcoholic drinks
