They just re-did the Sesame Street workshop website (to the tune of $14 million!) and there are tons of new coloring pages on there, including some for Abby Cadabby, which I know are widely looked for. Great for keeping the kids entertained at the party.

Hi Collette,

Sorry if you got the idea of this being a new and original idea. It is not, nor did I intend for it to be.

I like to share all party experiences whether new or old, to give my readers ideas for their future parties.

I love the hear new and original ideas, so please share any that you may have.

Thank you

Camille,

I want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to post a comment. I love your suggestions for the food that you typically find at a party in Jamaica. I would like to have some of the recipes for the food that you have mentioned. I hope that you did still find some of the tips to be helpful and I am sure that everyone will find your comments to be helpful when planning their parties in the future.

I was excited to begin to read tips to a Successful Party, but I was disappointed at the suggestions for food and favors.

Where I live (in Jamaica) a party includes a tasty soup (usually hot in temperature and flavored with Scotch Bonnet pepper) like fish tea or chicken soup, and the food served is a plateful of meat, chicken, rice and salad. Sure, little snackies such as Laura mentioned are available, but a meal is also expected.

If a treat is given as guests are leaving, it's something substantial like sweet potato pudding or coconut cake, if not a piece of the celebration cake-- yes a sweet, but not candy. Candy is for "pickney" (children). Usually the cake for an adult party, wedding or anniversary is a rich, dark fruit cake heavy with raisins, currants and rum.

Looking back at the tips again, I must say the only ones I felt to comment on were 5 and 8. 75% isn't a bad grade. Thanks for the effort.
