Merry Christmas to all!
..Now, it is time to start to prepare for that New Years Eve Party!
Where are you going to celebrate New Years? Are you going with someone special? …And the most important question, if you are going to be drinking alcoholic beverages, do you have a designated driver?
As usual, we are procastinating about where we are going to celebrate… We are thinking DC, Phillie or Pittsburgh. I guess it is time for me to make a decision.
Please be safe, and have fun partying for the season!

Well, it is that time of year when we all are rushing around planning our holiday parties. I found these great little candles that will give your holiday cocktail party a special look.

These decorative candles can be found at Party Favor Mall along with some great party favors.
Tonight while I was talking with some friends I heard a great party idea! Chocolate Covered Cherries with a twist.
My mouth started to water while we were discussing these.
First, drain a jar of maricno cherries. Then soak them in grain alcohol over night. Again, drain and let dry.
Melt Hersheys Chocolate over low heat or in a warmer. Dip the alcohol soaked cherries in the chocolate and let cool on wax paper.
Tada!!! A perfect addition to your party with an added kick!
Happy New Year!!!

Theme parties can be a great way to kick off the New Year! Here are a few questions you might want to ask yourself first:
- What type of theme should I choose?
- What foods and drinks will fit with my theme?
- Is the location easily accessible?
- If there will be alcohol, who will be the designated drivers?
THEME SUGGESTIONS:
- Choose a theme that everyone can have fun with.
- Choose a theme that represents you!
IDEA:
Futuristic Theme:

Have everyone dress up for the future? What do they see the future as in 5 years? In 10 years? Or get real creative and go with 50 years…

smaller plates are a good ideal so that guest can hold
their plates and their drinks.

the ball drops.

With a new year, you can expect a new life. People wish each other good luck, peace, and promise ourselves and others that we will do better in the upcoming year. So you want to host the King of all Parties to start everybody’s New Year off with a bang! One tradition for New Year’s Eve is a Masquerade Party. According to this tradition guest dress up in costumes and cover their faces with mask and as the clock strikes midnight the guest unmask. You may even want to have a theme Masquerade party. Some costume themes that you might like are:
– Have guest dress as something involving their New Year’s resolutions
– Have guest dress as something representing the New Year.
– Dead Celebrities
– Heaven & Hell
– Vicars & Tarts
– Wild West
– Las Vegas Party Theme
– Animal/Jungle
– Chains and Leather
– Decade Party (i.e. 50’s, 60’s, 70’s or 80’s)
– Gods & Goddesses
– Stone-Age
– Toga Party
It is important to play some dance music and have some fun playing games to keep the party fun. A costume contest is the standard for any masquerade party. You can spice yours up by setting up a rug having your guests walk the runway to be judged for the contest. Have your guests write down a description of themselves and their costume before they walk down the runway. Have someone act as the announcer and introduce each guest as they are on the runway. Come up with lots of crazy categories for prizes so you can award a ton of prizes. (i.e. Best Use of Glitter, Most Colorful Costume, Costume Most Likely to Get You Arrested, Most Reveling Costume)
