Anniversary Party

 Happy Anniversary!!! 

Today is my 5th Wedding Anniversary, so I thought I would give you a few tips on having an anniversary party. 

Do you have a parent or grandparent that is celebrating their 20th, 25th or 50th anniversary?  Throw them an anniversary party that they will never forget.  Here are a few ideas that I have, and some that I have actually done myself.

First, let’s decide who you want to invite.  Are you going to invite just close family and friends, or are you going to invite all of the people that are in there life. 

Now that you know how many people you are inviting, you will then decide where to have it.  If you are having close family and friends, you may chose to have the party at your home.  If you are having a larger group attending, then you may want to look for a place to have it.

Food:  Are you cooking yourself or getting it catered?  Make sure you give choices for your guests. 

Decorations:  Make a collage of pictures of the couple throughout the years.  A wedding photo should be the center of the collage.  Use a large piece of cardboard and cover it with a heavy weight gift wrap before putting the pictures on it.  This is my favorite of a background. 

If you have access to a projector, make a slide show of pictures of special moments of the couple.  Have this playing while the guests are arriving and during dinner.  Also, a great idea is to have a few disposable cameras so the guests of honor will have a great variety of pictures.
